Happy New Year every one, I have many new plans for the railroad and new ideas I will be posting more photos as requested and I will be hosting 2 open house events threw the year, the next open house event will be June 13-14th 2015 and again Dec 11-12th 2015 Hopefully by next December the mountain will be complete and built, the Jackson Mole yard will be done as the logging loop will be in place and running.

Mahanoy Railroad’s named postwar passenger trains up until the E-L merger, not including commuter trains: ( Source: Mahanoy Historical Society Bulletin, March 1963) 1,2 - The Skyliner - New York City ( Weehawken) – Harrisburg 3 The Keystone Capital - Albany – Harrisburg ( jointly operated with NYC) 4 The Empire Capital - Harrisburg - Albany ( jointly operated with NYC) The Capitals ran via Stroudsburg and Kingston, and were the same train, the name only differentiated destination: EB (Empire) from WB (Keystone) Now primarily mail, express and high priority TOFC.
